Bilingual & Multilingual Learners from the Inside-Out: Principal’s Course
Do bilingual and multilingual learners make up a large proportion of your student body? If so, there’s no doubt that you need a plan, a framework and a whole-school strategy.
Ensuring you understand the current research, approaches and best practises for these learners is just the beginning. How you incorporate this information seamlessly into the fabric of your school policies, procedures and community is pivotal. In this 6-week course, you’ll acquire an essential knowledge-base about BMLs while designing a plan of action that links your expertise with the specific needs of your BMLs.
This course is a more advanced version of our Educator’s Course and is designed specifically for school principals/ heads and assistant principals. It will help you elevate your knowledge, skills and leadership with bilingual and multilingual learners. You’ll understand how to plan for their success and ensure equitable and inclusive practises with our whole-school framework.
This innovative course uses elements of ‘design thinking’ to guide you in planning for whole-school impact. As you move through the course from week-to-week, you’ll apply your learning directly to your own school, culminating with a whole-school action plan that’s easy to implement.
